Looking at this work by artist Greg Guillemin, we can finally understand why Darth Vader breathes in this particular way. Indeed, in this image where the artist drew it on a green background, we can see in his suit and his black helmet, with a lit cigarette. We then say that his breathing is certainly due to the fact that the latter is a big smoker. Yes, we know all the harmful effects of cigarettes on the lungs.
